Part I: Applied Editing (to be submitted by email before 25 July 2006)

1. Who are the main characters of the movie? [3 pts]
2. What is the leit-motif of the movie? [2 pts]
3. Briefly write a movie summary in your own words (not more than ten sentences). [5 pts]
4. List down five (5) shots that register emotionally, visually and aurally to you as one of the audience. What kinds of shots are these and explain what are their functions? [10 pts]
5. Make a time line of events showing critical transitions between sequences in the movie? What are the transitional effects employed by editor to show such major changes in the story? [10 pts]
